These stainless steel and other high alloy filters are available in a variety of porosities ranging from 0.1 microns to 200 microns.
Various shapes are possible and applications include filtration gas and liquids, noise attenuation, sparging and fluidizing.

Candles and Tubes

Seamless filter elements up to 1200 mm length and 320 mm diameter with differential wall thicknesses is possible. Isostatic pressing allows simultaneous compaction of flanges and threads, simplifying mounting. A characteristic of the isostatic technique, as opposed to other manufacturing technologies is that smaller quantities can also be economically produced.

Discs, Sheets and Plugs

SIKA-R...AX filter elements are manufactured by co-axial pressing. A wide range of different geometries can be obtained by means of this pressing process. The pore size is made to measure from 0.5um to 200um. Sintering turns SIKA-R...AX elements into dimensionally stable, metallically strong components which can be used as self-supporting constructional elements. The pores are fixed in terms of size and position. A special production technique allows the joining between porous and solid materials in a compacting process, resulting in so-called filter modules.

Fibre Felt

Similar in composition to porous metal media, metal fiber media has one distinct advantage: higher porosity resulting in lower pressure drops and more efficient cleaning or backpulsing. Metal fiber filtration media is composed of very small fibers from stainless steel or other alloys. These small fibers are sintered to form a stable matrix.

AS Membrane

SIKA-R...AS is a high porous ASymmetrically designed metallic membrane. The thin layer giving the filter its performance is coated on a coarser SIKA-R support structure.

Flow Restrictors

Flow control/restriction is needed when specific gas or liquid flows are required. Flow restrictors ideally replace orifices, capilliaries or micro metering valves, which can easily become plugged by even one piece of dirt. Due to their porous structure, which contains multiple orifices, the use of SIKA Ultra Precision Flow Restrictors greatly minimizes this plugging possibility

Silencers

Noise during suction and exhaust in pneumatic machines and control mechanisms is efficiently by using SIKA silencers. Complicated sound dampeners and mufflers with lower efficiency are easily replaced by simply screwing in the hexagonal shaped SIKA silencers

Spargers

Spargers are used for introducing gas into liquids and sintered spargers greatly increase the gas to liquid contact area when compared to drilled pipes.This can improve the sparging efficiency by factors of 10x or more.
